A 49-year-old Barefoot Bay man was arrested after he allegedly pulling a gun on someone inside one of the hangars at the Sebastian Municipal Airport, the Sebastian Police Department said.

The incident occurred last Friday at approximately 9 a.m. when a man, identified as Leonard Cumbridge, entered a business asking to rent an airplane. When the company advised him to make an appointment, he knocked over a desktop computer and paperwork before leaving.

A few minutes later, Cumbridge returned to the business with a handgun. He walked up to the employee and pointed the gun at their head, the affidavit said. The worker reacted and retrieved the firearm.

Cumbridge then got onto the floor on his knees and started to cry. The person in the business asked if he was alright and if he needed help.

At that time, another employee walked in, and Cumbridge left. The employee took a picture of his license plate, and they notified the police.

Deputies located Cumbridge near Vero Beach; however, he refused to talk with law enforcement.

Police charged Cumbridge with carrying a concealed weapon and aggravated assault. He was transported to the Indian River County Jail, where his bond was set at $10,000.
