SEBASTIAN – The Welcome Wagon Club of Sebastian held its annual charitable funds’ disbursement at the club’s May 2019 meeting.

Club member Sharon Mikesell presented checks totaling $2,000 during the event. A vote of the membership chose the recipients and a representative from each beneficiary was present to receive a gift of $500.

Each recipient depends upon donations of time and money to provide their services.

The ones selected this year were:

The Welcome Wagon Club is a non-profit known for welcoming newcomers to our community.

In addition to welcoming new residents, the club has grown into an organization that supports local needs. Our main concern today is raising funds to help local charities – ones that support local people in their everyday lives.

The Welcome Wagon Club of Sebastian holds two large fundraisers per year and is always in need of fresh ideas and volunteers. One hundred percent of all funds raised go directly to charities.

The Club meets on the second Tuesday of each month at a local restaurant for lunch, planning and fellowship.
