On Saturday, May 28, 2022, the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office completed a Teen Driver Challenge class at the Treasure Coast Public Safety Training Complex. Thankfully the weather cooperated, and all participants learned many new skills to make them safer and more confident drivers.

Teen Driver Challenge

The Teen Driver Challenge is for teenagers between the ages of 15-19, with a minimum of a valid learner’s permit and preferably six months of driving experience. This program will enhance teens driving ability and mechanical knowledge of their vehicle.

Requirements

TDC students are required to have a valid Florida Operator’s License and use an automobile they usually operate during the driving exercises. The class will consist of lectures and driving activities. It is a defensive driving program, not a supplemental or advanced driving course.
