SRHS Cheerleaders take 1st Place at Sunshine State Cheer and Dance Competition

SRHS Cheerleaders take 1st Place

On November 13, 2021, the Sebastian River High School Cheerleaders competed at Lakeland’s Sunshine State Cheer & Dance Competition and took 1st place.

SRHS has two competitive teams, one that competes in the Game Day non-build Division and the other in the Small all-girl Traditional Cheer. 

The Game Day nonbuild division has been competing for the last three years, and this year they took first place at the competition. It was the first year competing in the Small all-girl Traditional Cheer, and they placed 2nd out of 4 teams. 

Between the two teams, they have a total of 22 amazing athletes and parents that are supportive in their endeavors to expand the program.

Future Competitions

On December 4, 2021, they will be competing at Central Florida Regionals at the Tampa Convention Center. In addition, they will also be competing in a virtual competition for UCA in a quest to win a bid for the February UCA Nationals at Disney’s ESPN Sports complex.
