Sebastian River High School (SRHS) will host its annual Prism Concert, a two-hour musical performance, in the school auditorium from December 7th – 10th (2023). This concert is a holiday-themed spectacle featuring performances from the concert band, jazz band, flag and dance line, steel pans, drumline, and choral dance, with a mix of festive themes and comedy. The students’ dedication shines through as many perform in multiple acts, infusing the show with holiday cheer.
A highlight of the show is the grand finale, where the entire 225-member Marching Shark Band and Flag & Dance Line perform, creating an exhilarating experience that routinely earns a standing ovation from the audience.
Having a history of over 25 years, the Prism Concert at SRHS has evolved remarkably, with each year surpassing the previous in terms of performance quality. This event holds personal significance for me, as I was a percussionist in the first three concerts when the school opened.

Prism
The name “Prism” metaphorically represents the effect of a single beam of light passing through a prism, splitting into several stunning, individual colors. Typically, band and chorus performances feature the full ensemble, but the Prism Concert offers a unique opportunity to appreciate performances by smaller groups and solo acts in music and dance.
