Sebastian Exchange Club Honors Students of the Month

The Sebastian Exchange Club is delighted to announce its December Students of the Month: Levi Rollinger of Sebastian Charter Junior High School, Bronson Lachle of Storm Grove Middle School, Talyn Akers of Sebastian River Middle School, and Alexis Solomon and Conrad Sylvester of Sebastian River High School.

The Sebastian Exchange Club is delighted to announce its December Students of the Month: Levi Rollinger of Sebastian Charter Junior High School, Bronson Lachle of Storm Grove Middle School, Talyn Akers of Sebastian River Middle School, and Alexis Solomon and Conrad Sylvester of Sebastian River High School.

The Youth of the Month Award recognizes hard-working junior high and high school students who attain high scholastic achievement and community involvement, show leadership, and demonstrate good citizenship daily at school and home. 

Levi Rollinger – Sebastian Charter Junior High School (SCJHS)

Levi Rollinger is an incredibly committed student and a prominent leader among his fellow students. His performance in middle school at Sebastian Charter Junior High School has been exceptional. As an 8th grader, Levi maintains an impressive cumulative GPA of 4.0 while actively participating in advanced classes. Moreover, Levi engages in youth sports, including Cross Country, Basketball, and baseball. His coaches and teammates hold him in high regard, appreciating his determination, competitive spirit, on-field concentration, and sportsmanship. This season, Levi has showcased remarkable leadership skills.

Within the school environment, Levi is adored; within the classroom, he actively engages and assumes a leadership position. He takes immense pride in his academic and athletic accomplishments, consistently striving for excellence. Levi’s character is exemplary, serving as a role model for his peers. He epitomizes the value of hard work and its significance in achieving success. Even in chaotic situations, he remains composed and unflustered. Levi is approachable and an excellent listener, displaying great empathy and understanding.

Levi demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility and a genuine desire to assist others in achieving their goals. Within the classroom, Levi exhibits unwavering determination to excel. He remains a consistent presence, steadfast in his commitment to his principles. Levi’s moral compass remains resolute, and he consistently chooses the path of integrity. He exudes confidence and maintains harmonious relationships with all his peers, embodying the qualities of an ideal friend for any child. Levi’s dedication to his academics is commendable, and he effectively balances his time between school and participating in sports for SCJH.

He strives to do his best in all activities he is involved in; he is a natural leader, and other students strive to be like him. In accepting his award Levi thanked the SCJHS staff and teachers for helping him achieve everything he has accomplished.

Bronson Lachle – Storm Grove Middle School (SGMS)

Bronson Lachle is an active member of the Sebastian River Rowing Team and the SGMS Drama Troupe. He is enrolled in advanced-level courses to earn high school credits and has already achieved three. Additionally, Bronson is a proud Strom Grove National Junior Honor Society member. His classmates trust Bronson, and he consistently brings a smile and positive energy into their lives. This young man leads by example, exemplifying kindness, dignity, and humor. He can brighten your day when you’re feeling down and offers encouragement when you need a lift.

This intelligent young man quickly thinks outside the box to look beyond the obvious. He asks insightful questions and is quick to help others. He is a dedicated student who participates well in class discussions and individual and group work.

Bronson is an exceptionally diligent student who particularly shines in mathematics. He consistently exhibits politeness and thoughtfulness, frequently extending his assistance to classmates grappling with the subject matter. Moreover, he proactively seeks help when necessary, setting a positive example for his peers as a model student. Upon accepting his award, Bronson expressed gratitude to the Exchange Club and the SGMS teachers for “leading me on to the road to success.”

Talyn Akers – Sebastian River Middle School (SRMS)

Talyn Akers is an exemplary student who embodies several IB Learner Profile Traits within and beyond the classroom. His sense of humor aligns with his optimistic outlook, consistently bringing laughter to the class while maintaining a respectful and considerate demeanor. Talyn’s profound knowledge is an asset, as he generously shares information with his peers. His strong communication skills and ability to advocate for himself are evident in his willingness to ask questions and seek clarification when needed. Moreover, Talyn is a truly compassionate, kind, reliable, respectful, and modest young individual.

He upholds rigorous academic standards and has achieved straight A’s throughout the year. Furthermore, he consistently respects staff and peers, readily offering assistance to those in need. With a sharp intellect, he possesses the ability to think innovatively and exhibit creativity and profound reflection. He excels in challenging projects, fearlessly taking on demanding tasks, and is unafraid to explore alternative approaches when necessary.

Talyn ranks among the top students in SRMS’ 8th-grade class. Moreover, he displays an impressive eagerness to engage actively and guide fellow students toward improving their performance. During his award acceptance, Talyn expressed his gratitude to the Sebastian Exchange Club and extended heartfelt thanks to his friends, family, and teachers for their unwavering support.

 Alexis Solomon – Sebastian River High School (SRHS)

Alexis Solomon is an IB Diploma Candidate with an impressive 4.555 Weighted GPA, securing her the 9th rank in her class. She is an esteemed member of the National Honor Society and holds the title of an AP Scholar. Alexis demonstrates a profound passion for advanced academics and consistently excels in all her endeavors. Her writing prowess is exceptional, and she can analyze even the most intricate literature with depth and precision.

For the past four years, she has been an integral part of the Varsity Swim Team, consistently competing at the State level, individually and as a valuable relay team member. Alexis’s dedication extends to her four-year membership in the SRHS Choir, where she has been part of the Encore Leadership Ensemble for three years. She’s actively involved in Harmonix and Decibels, showcasing her talents as a soloist, and she’s proficient in playing both the piano and ukulele.

In addition to her involvement in the arts, Alexis is a co-founder of the SRHS Environmental Club and holds the position of President at First Priority. She contributes her insights as a Superintendent’s Advisory Council member and plays a leadership role in the Our Kindness campaign. Alexis was honored to represent SRHS at the Laura Riding Jackson Foundation’s anniversary event. In her spare time, she generously volunteers in the children’s ministry at Sebastian Christian Church, where she actively participates in the worship team on Sundays and Wednesdays.

“Lexi’s” schedule outside of IB is an absolutely crazy one. Confident, talented, knowledgeable, and compassionate are just a few words to describe Alexis. She’s a stellar student who accompanies her academic talents with a deep care for others and a terrific sense of humor. In accepting her award, she thanked the Exchange Club, her family, and the SRHS family for supporting her. She has been accepted to Palm Beach Christian Academy Honors Program and will pursue her Masters in English for public speaking and teaching.

Conrad Sylvester – Sebastian River High School (SRHS)

Conrad Sylvester is an IB Diploma Candidate with a 4.404 Weighted GPA and is in the top 7% of his class. He is the National Honor Society Treasurer, an AP Scholar, and SRHS Excel Club President. Additionally, he has been a member of the SRHS Choir since 9th grade and has qualified for All-State Choir—3 times in Harmonix. Conrad captains 3 Esports Teams and placed 4th in the State on the Mario Kart Team. He tutors at Fellsmere Elementary through the Peer-to-Peer Club, of which he is President. He is also a math tutor, sings in his church choir, has been a science fair judge, and volunteers at the Sebastian Exchange Club Blue Water Open.

Conrad upholds an extracurricular schedule that demands exceptional time management skills, including participation in All-State Choir, SRHS Choir, Encore, SRHS Varsity E-Sports, the Peer-to-Peer mentoring program, and offering math tutoring to fellow students in need. Remarkably, he balances these commitments effectively and excels in all his endeavors, whether it’s mastering mathematics, demonstrating writing proficiency, showcasing musical talents, or excelling in chemistry.

He is a young man characterized by kindness, wit, and compassion. During his award acceptance speech, Conrad expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Exchange Club, his parents, and his family for their instrumental role in shaping him into the person he is today, a sentiment he vowed never to forget. Conrad’s achievements include being awarded a full scholarship to Haverford College, where he plans to pursue a major in Bio-Chemistry.

Exchange Club of Sebastian 

The Exchange Club of Sebastian actively engages in various local community initiatives beyond the Student of the Month program. They are dedicated to four key pillars of service: Preventing Child Abuse, Supporting Youth Activities, Promoting Americanism, and Contributing to Community Service.
