Attorneys on both sides agree that the Sebastian City Council meeting held last Wednesday is null and void.
Gilliams did declare himself Mayor of Sebastian at his press conference last Thursday.
However, today Craig M. Rappel, the attorney representing Damien Gilliams, told Judge Janet C. Croom that his client is no longer declaring himself as the Mayor of Sebastian.
“For the sake of the community, I will hold off until mediation is completed and if they don’t give us our meetings where we can do City business, I will be right back at the courthouse again,” Gilliams told Sebastian Daily.
As far as the injunction, it will hopefully be decided at mediation on Thursday.
