The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to locate 40-year-old Douglas Wayne Pierce of Vero Beach. He was last seen by his family on Friday, April 29, 2022, at approximately 8:30 a.m when he left his residence at the 400 block of 7th Road SW, Vero Beach.
Pierce, a person with high functioning autism, was last seen wearing khaki shorts and a red shirt. He is 6’ft tall, weighs approximately 180 lbs. and has brown hair and brown eyes.
It is believed that he may have gotten on the GoLine bus at Route 6, which goes to the IRC Intergenerational Recreation Center.
