IRC Library System is hosting live-stream stories.

The Indian River County Library System has started doing a daily live-streamed story time starting at 11:00 a.m. each weekday.

The stream is live on the IRC Main Library’s Facebook page and later shared to every branch’s page.

“It features the dramatic reading of a fun picture book, and an explanation of craft families can do using materials they most likely have at home. We will also share the IRCLS Healthy at Home challenge of the day. These daily challenges encourage people to stay healthy both in body and mind,” Children’s Librarian Patti Fuchs told Sebastian Daily.

They’ve included thus far; eating your veggies, creating a piece of artwork inspired by what one has been reading, and going on a virtual field trip.

Patrons are encouraged to share pics on social media using #irclshealthyathome or email them to pfuchs@irclibrary.org, for the library to share via their Facebook page.

Patrons are also reminded that though the library is closed to the public, walk up & pick up service, of items put on hold, is still available via the phone or online reservation.

Also, Hoopla and Libby, their sources for ebooks and digital entertainment, are more accessible than ever.

Fines have been suspended, and blocks removed until further notice.

All this and more information can be found on the IRC Library website.
