While it may seem like people are not listening to the CDC guidelines to stay home, I assure you there are a lot of elderly residents who are listening and staying home.

Sebastian Daily is receiving calls from elderly residents in our community who have been quarantined for over three weeks now.

One man asked, “Is the National Guard bringing meals ready to eat? We are running out of food!”

When we told them about local businesses that would provide grocery delivery, they asked me, “How do we know they do not have the Coronavirus?” To which we answered, he is going to have to trust someone to help him.

Using a food delivery service is not 100% full proof. However, it is a lot less of a risk than going out and shopping for yourself.

Please, if you are over 65+ or have other health issues and do not want to leave your house, reach out to your family, friends, or neighbors. If you do not have a computer, allow your family to do your grocery shopping for you online.
