Thirty-six teams will converge in Vero Beach and Sebastian in Indian River County to participate in the Florida Half Century Softball Tournament on July 9-10, 2022.
The event will occur at Fran B. Adams North County Regional Park (9450 County Road 512, Sebastian, FL) and Dick Bird South County Regional Park (800 20th Ave SW, Vero Beach, FL 32962). Games are scheduled to start at 8:00 am on Saturday and Sunday, with the last round of games scheduled for 2:15 pm.
The strong partnership between Play Treasure Coast Sports Tourism, Florida Have Century Softball, and Indian River County continues to grow. Florida Half Century is scheduled to return to Vero Beach four times in 2023. Each event will generate an estimated direct visitor spending of $300,000 and an estimated 200 overnight hotel stays.
Florida Half Century is a Not-for-Profit association of softball players and teams spanning the state of Florida and dedicated to providing a place for more experienced softball players to continue to participate in the competitive world of softball.
FHC has existed for more than 25 years and continues to grow as the market increases. FHC has five major age divisions, 50+, 60+, 65+, 70+, and 74+. The association is dedicated to the premise that teams will be able to compete at their own competitive level. All teams are evaluated monthly and reseeded within the age groups based on their performance on the field.
