A few emergency shelters are opening on Wednesday starting at 12:00 p.m. in Sebastian and Vero Beach.
Officials from the City of Sebastian and Indian River County are doing a great job informing the public as Hurricane Ian approaches Florida on the west coast.
The following Indian River County Emergency Shelters shall open tomorrow:
- Treasure Coast Elementary School (Special Needs Shelter Only): 8955 85th Street Sebastian, FL
- Liberty Magnet School (Pet Friendly): 6850 81st Street Vero Beach, FL
- The Freshman Learning Center: 1507 19th Street Vero Beach, FL.
To recap, we will not get a hurricane in our local area, but we are under a tropical storm warning. Make sure you have all of your storm preparations done as soon as possible.
