Sebastian Daily has learned that within an hour after our story was published showing a possible campaign finance violation by Damien Gilliams and his son Damien Lee Gilliams, they both have gone to City Hall to file an amended report.

The original report showed Gilliams accepted a $1,450 in-kind donation from an alleged design company owned by his son.

“He just filed a false report, and it also shows that Gilliams and his son were in on it,” a local attorney told Sebastian Daily.

The address for his son’s alleged design company matches the real estate office that his father owns. City officials are now questioning whether Gilliams’ son, Damien Lee Gilliams, is registered with a business or occupational license in Sebastian.

Gilliams’ real estate company is currently under scrutiny after receiving $5,000 in grant monies amid losing Airbnb loss income. Gilliams allegedly doesn’t have an Airbnb registered anywhere in the city, county, or the state.
