Councilman Fred Jones participates in this year’s trash cleanup with Sebastian Running Club

Sebastian Runners Club

On Saturday, the Sebastian Running Club hosted their 2nd Annual Trash Cleanup along Sebastian Blvd (CR-512) and the Trans-Florida Central Rail. Two teams went out in different directions collecting trash that filled several bags.

It was a great family event with kids, and some even brought their dogs. Sebastian City Councilman Fred Jones was present and told us he is helping to keep “Sebastian beautiful.”

“My wife Carrie and I really enjoyed doing our part in helping to keep Sebastian beautiful today. We would like to thank the Sebastian Running Club for putting together this event,” Jones told Sebastian Daily.

Tina Hodges from Sebastian Daily was also present and helped with the trash cleanup.

The running club met at 9:00 am and picked up trash along the Trans-Florida Central Rail Trail and around the Sebastian River Middle School.

Keep Indian River Beautiful donated cleanup supplies and the running club provided free water for everyone.
