Community fundraiser for 2 local musicians who lost daughter

Ava Vadimsky

Two people who are involved in our community need our help. Gary and Lori Vadimsky lost their daughter Ava in a terrible automobile accident on July 15 and passed away on July 25.

Gary and Lori are also in the Elton John tribute band known as Greggie And The Jets and another duo called Iris that plays at places like Captain Hirams and the Tiki Bar & Grill.

A close friend has set up a GoFundMe page as a fundraiser to help ease the strain. Lori Vadimsky is listed as the beneficiary on the page.

Gary and Lori have two daughters, Ava and Kyla, and one son, Brennan who is 10. The daughters just finished their last National Dance competition for the season (and had just won Grand Champions with their team) when they were driving home.

During the drive, both girls were involved in a head-on collision. The girls were airlifted to the hospital. Kyla was released with minor injuries, but Ava was in critical condition in a coma. On July 26, Ava passed away.

“It is with a sad and heavy heart, but God has taken beautiful Ava to join him last night. Her pain is gone, and she is dancing in heaven. It is still so unreal that this young lady is gone from our arms. She has touched so many people. She will be missed and loved by all of us, especially her family and best friend. We know she will be keeping a watch over them. We love you Ava,” Melissa Christian, a family friend, said on the GoFundMe page.

Ava was a beautiful 18-year-old who had so much planned for the future and was loved by many. She was a precious daughter and a wonderful big sister to her younger brother and sister.

There will be a Celebration of Life on August 20th, at 11:00 am, at Calvary Chapel Melbourne located at 2955 Minton Rd. in West Melbourne.
