There are a few closures we want to mention amid Hurricane Ian. The City of Sebastian and Indian River County offices will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday.
In addition, Waste Management offices and garbage collection will be closed on Wednesday, but plan to resume normal operations on Thursday or Friday, as long as it’s safe to do so.
“Waste Management will not operate when sustained wind speeds exceed 35 mph. Resuming ‘post-storm’ operations will depend on storm damage safety assessments and open disposal facilities,” Deborah Perez, Waste Management Government Affairs Manager, said in a statement.
Waste Management plans to complete all scheduled Tuesday collection schedules as long as it is safe to do so.
The Sebastian City Council will have a budget only meeting in Chambers at 6:00 p.m.
