SEBASTIAN – Nilla, a 4-year-old Blue Pit Bull, is ready for her new family to pick her up today. She came to H.A.L.O. last June. Sadly, she has spent 278 days in the shelter so far.
This beautiful girl is phenomenal with people, but she is a queen bee who needs to be the only animal in the home. She is very smart, obedient, and pretty calm.
Initially, she came to Halo with heartworms, but she went through treatment, and she tested negative for the first time earlier this month. 1 in 20 dogs that come into the shelter test positive for heartworms, so this is pretty common. Perfectly healthy now.
She walks well on a leash, but she is a strong lady at 68 lbs, so she needs someone comfortable handling her strength.
