BAREFOOT BAY – Residents living in Barefoot Bay and Micco may be eligible for repair or replacement assistance from damage caused by Hurricane Irma, according to the Rebuild Florida website.

It’s a new program by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity.

“Was your home damaged by Hurricane Irma & are repairs incomplete? If you qualify as low-to-moderate income, you may be eligible for repair or replacement assistance,” the program stated.

Rebuild Florida representatives will be at the Barefoot Bay Community Center on Wednesday, December 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In addition, they will also be at CareerSource Brevard in Rockledge from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

“Rebuild Florida is a program of the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO), created to help Florida recover from the devastating impacts of Hurricane Irma. The first phase of Rebuild Florida is the Housing Repair Program, which will assist families to rebuild their homes that were damaged or destroyed by Hurricane Irma,” their website says.
