Barefoot Bay has asked 3 Ring Circus to return and perform after canceling them over a Joe Biden photo that appeared on a band member’s Facebook page.

The band will return on March 6, 2021, but as a duo since some band members already rescheduled performances for that date.

“Well, thanks again, everyone, for the support. We are back on for the 6th in the Bay. Unfortunately, because of the cancellation, we will appear as a duo as some of us made plans,” Kenneth Williams said.

Williams also said the full 3 Ring Circus band would be at Barefoot Bay on future dates. The band will keep us posted.

Barefoot Bay also released the following statement.

“Today, Mr. Kenny Williams was notified of his reinstatement to active status as an entertainment vendor who is eligible to be hired for future musical entertainment by Barefoot Bay Recreation District. Although the Community Manager’s initial suspension of Mr. Williams was warranted due to previous divisive actions by other entertainers, reinstatement was granted after a thorough examination of the specific facts and circumstances leading to the suspension and in an effort to avoid unnecessary and unproductive staff time being spent addressing the matter further. Mr. Williams’ next engagement at Barefoot Bay Recreation District is March 6, 2021. Residents’ badges and /or guest passes are required to attend,” Barefoot Bay Recreation District said.

On Monday night, 3 Ring Circus played at Rosie’s Bottoms Up in Micco, where fans showed their support for the band.

“This was the kickoff of our Cancel Culture tour,” lead singer Ray Fredell jokingly told Sebastian Daily.

Several residents in Barefoot Bay showed their anger in phone calls and emails after the Community Manager canceled the band. Residents also sent Letters to the Editor to Sebastian Daily describing the move as “cancel culture.”

However, the decision to allow the band back in Barefoot Bay is perhaps a peace offering to put this incident to rest.
