Amanda Towne

Can you grasp the anguish of a beloved family member—be it a mother, daughter, or sister—disappearing without a trace? The Towne family has endured this anguish for the last four years.

Amanda Towne, 27, disappeared from Fellsmere, Florida, on March 2, 2020, shortly after departing her aunt’s residence just outside the Fellsmere city limits at 3:00 am. Following a brief exchange with her cousin, she ventured out into the night, heading to her boyfriend’s home half a mile away.

Numerous attempts to locate the mother of three have yielded no success. Despite recovering some of her belongings in late April 2020 near the C-54 Canal, Amanda’s whereabouts are still a mystery.

Amanda is a Caucasian female standing over 5 feet tall and approximately 130 pounds in weight. She has a butterfly tattoo on her right shoulder and was last seen wearing a zip-up camouflage hooded sweater, dark leggings, and flip-flops.

Ruthann Towne, Amanda’s mother, hopes that the person or persons who know where Amanda is will think about how this affects her family, especially her 3 children, and contact the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office (IRCSO).

Due to suspected foul play, a reward of $5,000 will be awarded for any information leading to her known whereabouts. All it takes is one anonymous caller to come forward to solve this case and give Amanda’s family the closure they so desperately need.

Contact the IRCSO at 772-978-6240, with reference to case number 2020-37848, and ask for Detective Craig Thimmer. You can remain anonymous!
