VERO BEACH – Growth continues for Piper Aircraft Inc. in Vero Beach as the company sells its first M600 turboprop to Europe, which is showing signs of a promising new product in the market.

Piper was recently at the 25th Global Show for General Aviation in Friedrichshafen, Germany, to demonstrate the M600 to its first customer in the region.

CTP Invest, one of the largest real estate developers in the Czech Republic and Eastern Europe, purchased the M600, which will be delivered from Vero Beach by the end of summer.

“Piper is thrilled that CTP Invest is expanding its corporate aircraft usage and has selected the efficient and cost effective M600 as its newest business tool,” said Drew McEwen, Vice President of International and Direct Sales. “This is the first new Piper M600 to see service in Europe, and we are confident that it will perform its mission with established Piper economy and reliability.”

Simon Caldecott, President and CEO at Piper Aircraft, said the M600 is a unique aircraft. “We cannot emphasize enough the value, performance, and safety that defines this airplane. We continue to increase our international presence by providing a compelling product line that is economically and operationally advantageous to aviators around the world. We are pleased to work with Piper OK for this initial European sale of the M600,” Caldecott stated.

The Vero Beach company is conducting an M600 demonstration tour that began immediately after the aircraft arrived in the Czech Republic. The tour will continue for the next ninety days and will cover six countries.

The Piper M600 achieved FAA certification in June 2016. Validation for the European Aviation Safety Agency is expected within the next 90 days.
