The Sebastian Train Depot, one of the area’s favorite places for lunch and ice cream, will be closing for vacation from July 11, 2022, until September 1, 2022.
“When we reopen, look for exciting new changes, such as our new menu, hours, and merchandise for sale. The Depot will begin serving breakfast; as a teaser, our star breakfast sandwich will be the Jersey Girl,” the Train Depot said in a statement.
The “Jersey Girl” breakfast sandwich will be Talyor Ham (a/k/a Pork Roll) cheese on a freshly baked Kaiser roll. Add egg upon request.
Expanded Business Hours
Additionally, the Sebastian Train Depot will expand its business hours from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
New owner Annmarie will hire about fifteen new employees to keep up with the new hours. Current employees say work is still available to them during the closure.
“During our downtime, we will be looking for applicants; we are in search of new employees, young and/or old, that are interested in working either full or part-time,” Annmarie told Sebastian Daily.

New Healthier Options
They will be offering a few healthier options to their already great menu. Customers can look forward to salads, juices, smoothies, and coffee.
Many customers are critical of the closure, saying the summer is the best season for ice cream on a hot day. But others are excited about their new hours and breakfast options.
Local Artist
