The Sebastian River Medical Center has announced Ronald Bierman as it’s new president.

I look forward to working with the dedicated team at Sebastian River Medical Center who care for patients in this community, and continuing my affiliation with Steward Health Care, which is committed to bringing a new model of high-quality health care at an affordable cost to better serve our patients and the Sebastian River community,” Ronald Bierman said.
Bierman is currently the president of Steward’s Trumbull Regional Medical Center in Youngstown, Ohio. He will begin his new role on January 27, 2020.
The new Sebastian River Medical Center president is a native Floridian and familiar with the market, and the hospital is excited to welcome him back home.
He has more than 25 years of experience as president and CEO of hospitals around the country.
Before joining Trumbull in 2017, he served for eight years as CEO of Affinity Medical Center in Ohio and for several years was a hospital CEO within the Tenet Healthcare system.
From 1998 to 2005, Bierman was hospital CEO for Health Management Associates.
Bierman received his Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from Florida International University, and earned a Masters of Science in Education from Florida International University and a MBA specializing in Health Administration from the University of Miami.

Ralph Taylor has been serving as interim-president. Taylor will now become the Chief Operating Officer and continue in his role of overseeing Sebastian’s operational initiatives including the finalization and opening of Sebastian’s $65 million construction project.
