Two events are going on this weekend at Mash Monkeys Brewing Company that might interest you, and as a local business, they need our help right now until Phase 2 when they can open inside.

On Saturday, the SoFlo Bistro Food Truck will be serving up their delicious menu from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The brewery will have picnic tables set up out front. You can also enjoy live music from Anna & Will.

“Grab a pint and have fun, but stay safe and socially distanced,” Mash Monkeys Brewing Co. said in a statement.

On Sunday, you can enjoy creative Cajun cuisine by Le Bon Temps Food Truck from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Branden Parrish will be playing tunes outside from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Bring your friends and your lawn chair.

Mash Monkeys Brewing Company has not been allowed to open since March because the brewery does not have a food license. They have been allowed to provide curbside pickup and takeout only. The brewery isn’t expected to open indoors until Phase 2 when bars are allowed to reopen.

Mash Monkeys recently thanked the staff at the City of Sebastian for assisting them with permits to allow a food truck at their business.

“Dorri Bosworth and her staff at community development helped us legally find the way to open. Her efforts in contacting the appropriate authorities in regards to having food trucks on site was in my opinion, above and beyond,” Mash Monkeys said in a statement.

City Manager Paul Carlisle also assisted them with the permit that followed the city code while being in accordance with DBPR, CDC, and county recommendations.

Also, City Attorney Manny Anon assisted the brewery by checking on all the legal parameters. Mayor Ed Dodd has also demonstrated how he cares for local small businesses by following up on the tasks.

“We feel the public should know that without the collaborative efforts by the city employees, our business may not have survived. All because of a pandemic that was no one person’s fault. These people care about the community more than most people know,” the brewery stated.

Mash Monkeys Brewery needs our help every weekend until they can open indoors. They have a wide variety of craft beer.
