On Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Mash Monkeys Brewing Company is set to celebrate its 6th Annual Oktoberfest, offering a deep dive into German traditions. The day’s line-up includes a curated selection of German-inspired brews, delightful German cuisine, and live music. Join the excitement with Angela’s Wheel of Fun, cornhole, and more. Come and revel in a day dedicated to German festivities!

If the skies are clear, enjoy an outdoor performance by The Kevin McLoughlin Band from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tents, tables, chairs, and taps will be conveniently set up outside for your comfort and enjoyment.
Oktoberfest Background
Oktoberfest, held annually in Munich, Germany, is the world’s largest Volksfest (beer festival and traveling funfair). Spanning over two weeks from late September to the first weekend in October, this iconic festivity draws millions of visitors from all over the globe. Its roots trace back to 1810, with the royal wedding of Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese, and the festival grounds still bear the name “Theresienwiese” in the princess’s honor.
Attendees clad in traditional Bavarian attire, such as lederhosen and dirndls, can be seen everywhere. The main highlight, of course, is the beer, served in one-liter mugs called “Maß,” brewed within Munich’s city limits and adhering to the Reinheitsgebot, or the purity law dating back to 1516. However, Oktoberfest is more than just beer; it’s an amalgamation of Bavarian culture, featuring traditional music, parades, delicious foods like pretzels and sausages, and various amusement rides and stalls. Celebrated with fervor and joy, Oktoberfest captures the spirit and tradition of Bavaria like no other event.
