Office hours for IRC Tax Collector's Office for New Year's Eve.

The Tax Collector of Indian River County will be closed December 31, 2019 in Sebastian and Vero Beach. This is in addition to the regularly schedule closing January 1, 2020, due to Governor DeSantis’ closure of all state offices on New Year’s Eve.

“While the tax office serves Florida residents on a county level, we are dependent upon state agencies to process many of our transactions. Due to the processing complications the state closures could potentially create, we will be closed in tandem with them,” the tax collector’s office said in a statement.

All heavy truck tractors and semi-trailers with an expiration of 12/31/2019 must be renewed by 12/30/2019 to meet display requirements but will not incur a late fee until after 1/10/2020.

For the purpose of establishing residency Property Appraiser Wesley Davis and Tax Collector Carole Jean Jordan have worked together to develop an effective solution. For those who have their Driver License issued on January 2, 2020, the license will be accepted to apply for your Homestead Exemption.
