SEBASTIAN – Sebastian’s Roadside Restaurant, Country Ham N Eggs, and the Strike Zone Entertainment Center were cited for various violations including storing raw meat over ready-to-eat cooked food, according to the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation.

Sebastian’s Roadside Restaurant

On January 29, 2019, the Sebastian Roadside Restaurant was cited for 9 violations. Six of the violations were marked High Priority. The report indicated raw animal food stored over ready-to-eat food.

“Raw opened liver and comminuted beef above french fries in the small reach in freezer,” the health inspector wrote. They also found an employee eating in a food preparation area near the cook line. Grease accumulated on the kitchen floor and build up under the fix cookline equipment.

Country Ham N Eggs

On February 5, 2019, the County Ham N Eggs received 15 violations, with five being marked as High Violations. The inspector found encrusted material on a can opener blade, which has been a repeated violation. In addition, there was an accumulation of black/green mold inside the ice bin with moderate build up. There was also raw animal food stored over ready-to-eat food.

“Raw unwrapped ground beef and liver stored over potatoes in the reach in chest freezer,” the inspector wrote. The inspector said this was also a repeated violation. On the cook line, there were raw shell eggs over ready to eat hot foods.

Strike Zone Entertainment Center

The health inspector cited the Strike Zone Entertainment Center for 7 health violations on January 28, 2019, with three of them referenced as High Violations. In the kitchen, the inspector found pizza crusts that were uncovered in the walk-in freezer. An employee also failed to wash hands before working with food, and a second time after using a broom.

“Raw partially cooked chicken wings are stored over cheese and pizza crusts in the walk-in cooler,” the inspector wrote. There was also a slicer blade soiled with old food debris.
