
VERO BEACH, Florida – A Vero Beach woman was arrested after walking into a 7-Eleven and stealing a 24 oz. beer to drink at a laundromat.
The 7-Eleven store clerk told officers from the Vero Beach Police Department that a woman walked into the story, grabbed a 24 oz. Natty Ice beer, and went into the bathroom.
When the woman came out, she was empty handed. The clerk couldn’t find the beer in the bathroom.
A few minutes later, officers came across a woman fitting the description drinking a 24 oz. Natty Ice Beer.
Kimberly Hamersly, 36, shrugged her shoulders at officers. When asked why she didn’t pay for the beer, Hamersly said she “did not know,” according to the report.
Hamersly said she was currently on probation for Grand Theft. She was arrested and transported to the Indian River County Jail where she was charged with shoplifting.
