VERO BEACH – A Klub Kar employee called the Vero Beach Police Department to report someone he picked up at the county jail had skipped paying their fee.

Police said that Christopher Wyrick picked up a woman from the Indian River County Jail who promised to pay the driver a $10.00 transit fee after she arrived at a local convenient store. The woman left the vehicle and began running away.

Since the woman was in jail, it wasn’t too hard for police to track down her name and to identify the person released. Officers then went to the woman’s last known address in Vero Beach, Florida.

A woman who answered the door at the residence confirmed that Briana Poole was inside. Officers located Poole “hiding in the bedroom closet.”

Poole returned to jail where she initially called Klub Kar and was charged with a transit fare evasion.

Prior to her earlier release, Poole was arrested for shoplifting at Dillards department store. A security survivance team had notified police about her suspicious behavior. Police found a bottle of men’s cologne and a t-shirt in her purse after she left the store without paying for the merchandise.
