Woman Arrested After Stealing Cash Box from Sunshine Laundry

VERO BEACH, Florida – On Thursday, a 36-year-old woman was arrested after breaking into the Sunshine Laundry and stealing a cash box, according to the Vero Beach Police Department.

Stefanie Belanger, a former employee of Sunshine Laundry, was charged with Felony Burglary and Grand Theft.

“Officers were able to review video surveillance of the business and an employee recognized the suspect as a recent terminated employee,” Police Chief David E. Currey told Sebastian Daily.

Vero Beach police then responded to a listed address for Belanger and located her and other evidence on scene.

Belanger’s bond will be set by a judge following first appearance on Friday, May 11, 2018.
