VERO BEACH, Florida – An 18-year-old man was arrested on charges of battery domestic violence after he spray painted his girlfriend during an argument.
The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the 400 block of 10th Avenue in Vero Beach about a disturbance.
The victim said she was laying on the couch when her boyfriend, identified as Calvin Luke Arduini, dragged her off the couch by the feet and threw her out the front door.
She went back inside the house, and he threw her around by the arms and onto the ground in the living area.
Calvin then punched out the front window of the residence, cutting his hand during the process.
While his hand was bleeding, he rubbed blood on her and began spitting in her face.
Calvin then grabbed a can of green spray paint and covered the victim’s face, head, and upper body.
Deputies observed paint on the victim’s head, face, chest, and arms.
Deputies made contact with Calvin who said the two got into an argument after she broke up with him. He said the argument started because she was supposed to be moving out, and that’s when he punched out the front window.
When asked why he spray painted her, he said, “She pissed me off, I can’t hit her, so…”
Calvin was arrested and transported to the Indian River County Jail.
