Vero Beach Man Shot Outside Bar Early Friday

VERO BEACH, Florida – A man was shot early Friday morning outside The Grove bar, 2115 14th Avenue, according to the Vero Beach Police Department.

“One victim is in the hospital. Our detectives are currently interviewing and investigating,” Vero Beach Police spokeswoman Officer Anna Carden told Sebastian Daily.

Police should have more information later today about the Vero Beach shooting.

The shooting occured in the parking lot of the day at around 1:52 a.m. Friday.

One man was shot and transported to a local hospital as a trauma patient. Police are investigating and interviewing witnesses.

Carden said about no one was in custody as of Friday afternoon.

The bar is located on a block where other establishments typically stay open until 2 a.m. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are unknown at this time.
