VERO BEACH, Florida – A 20-year-old man told the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office that he and his girlfriend were up for three days arguing in Vero Beach.

Deputies received a call about a disturbance in Vero Beach at the 7900 block of Old Dixie Highway. They observed a white male, identified as Jacob Couch, walking down the road with his girlfriend, identified as Courtney Keeton.

According to the report, Couch told deputies they have been awake for over three days and arguing the entire time. He says he was upset with his girlfriend because he saw photos of her with another man in the woods. Couch claims that Keeton was throwing rocks at him from the railroad tracks.

Keeton told a different story to deputies. She said Couch showed up at the front door of their trailer home and was banging on the door.

She told deputies Couch allegedly dragged her out of the trailer and down the stairs. He then allegedly picked up rocks from the railroad tracks and threw them at her.

Keeton also said that Couch “was trying to get her to perform oral sex on another person in order to get drugs, and he was mad because she was refusing to do so,” according to the deputy’s report.

The Trailer Park Manager called stating he received multiple phones calls from residents stating they observed Couch allegedly attacking Keeton.

Couch was arrested and transported to the Indian River County Jail where he was charged with Battery Domestic Violence.
