SEBASTIAN, Florida – The Cox-Gifford Seawinds Community Outreach would like to invite all Indian River County middle and high school students to participate in the “True Meaning of Memorial Day” Youth Essay Contest.

This contest was created to inspire the youth of our community to learn more about the true meaning of Memorial Day.

Participants should write 500 to 525 words in a personal essay format. A total of $1,600 will be split up between the six winners.

Students enrolled in Indian River County middle, high, private, charter and home schools must have their essay submissions in by March 31, 2018.
