SEBASTIAN, Florida – Hurricane Jose was upgraded to a Category 4 storm Friday with maximum sustained winds near 150 mph, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Spaghetti models for Hurricane Jose have been unpredictable because of the storm’s fluctuations in the Atlantic.

The National Hurricane Center said the storm is expected to intensify for the next day or two, but will gradually weaken after that.

Hurricane Irma, also a Category 4 storm, is expected to make landfall in Florida this weekend.

A hurricane warning extends from Jupiter Inlet to Key West. A hurricane watch stretches from the Sebastian Inlet to the Jupiter Inlet.
