Palm Bay Woman Arrested On Animal Cruelty Charges

PALM BAY, Florida – The Palm Bay Police have arrested a 54-year-old woman Monday on a charge of felony animal cruelty.

Claire Mimier of the 500 block of Evergreen Street Northeast, was also charged with a misdemeanor charge of animal cruelty for a second dog in her home.

Police worked with Brevard County Animal Control on the case.

The hospitalized dog, named “Camie,” and another dog, named “Amie,” were removed from the house.

Mimier was being held in lieu of $2,500 bail at the Brevard County Detention Center in Sharpes.
