INDIAN RIVER SHORES, Florida – Indian River Shores Police received a call about a vehicle parked in the middle of A1A.

As officers approached A1A and Pebble Path, they observed a black BMW convertible stopped in the middle of A1A. The center double yellow line ran through the center of the car.

Katherine Antle was seated in the driver’s seat with the vehicle still running. Antle was seen slumped over the steering wheel, and police could smell the strong odor of alcohol.

Officers turned off the vehicle and tried to wake Antle.

After conducting field sobriety tests, police took Antle into custody for DUI. Her BAC readings were .200% and .194%.

Antle asked the officer if they thought she was a criminal. Police told her “no” but believed she had too much to drink. Antle replied, “I believe you’re right.”
