FELLSMERE – The Dedication Ceremony for the Trans-FL Central Railroad Greenway Pedestrian Overpass will be Saturday, November 17, 2018, 10 a.m. at the Fellsmere Trailhead Preserve & Welcome Center. Information booths will be kept open until 11:30 a.m.

“It is staggering, absolutely gorgeous,” said Phil Matson, staff director of the Indian River County Metropolitan Planning Organization. “It’s built on what was originally a railroad bed for passenger and freight trains. Now, people will be getting recreation on it.”

There will be limited paved parking available at the Fellsmere Trailhead Preserve, and overflow parking in the grass. Golf carts will be making shuttle runs for attendees who are parking at Fellsmere Trailhead Preserve.

Attendees are encouraged to carpool, and cyclists should park at the North County Regional Park and ride the 2-mile trail to the ceremony.

Wear outdoor-friendly attire and feel free to walk/bike the new trail.

Location: 11090 County Road 512, Fellsmere, FL 32948.
