SEBASTIAN – A Sebastian man was arrested and charged with DUI after he tells a deputy from the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office that he’s “drunk as sh–” during a traffic stop.

Christopher Lawhorn, 42, was seen driving through a stop sign while exiting the Publix parking lot near County Road 512. The driver also never signaled when changing lanes.

The deputy initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle as it turned into the Burger King parking lot in Sebastian.

According to the report, Lawhon informed the deputy that he is “drunk as sh–” and knows he should not be driving.

It was determined that Lawhon was impaired after he agreed to perform a few exercises.

Lawhon was arrested and transported to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office where he was charged with DUI.
