CLEARWATER – The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a Clearwater McDonald’s about a disturbance between a customer and an employee.

According to the police report, a customer who was “extremely unhappy with his service in the drive-thru” allegedly kicked a McDonald’s employee in the stomach.

The irate and violent customer was identified as William Silva, 49, who grew angry after waiting in the drive-thru lane. Several cars were “backed up” Sunday night, causing Silva to become violent.

Silva got out of his vehicle and entered the Clearwater establishment and started screaming and cursing at the McDonald’s employees.

The employees asked Silva to calm down, but he allegedly attacked a worker instead.

The criminal complaint alleges Silva “delivered a front kick” to the employee before returning to his vehicle to continue his wait in the drive-thru.

Silva was arrested for disorderly conduct and battery. He was released from the Pinellas County after posting $650 bond. Silva’s rap sheet includes convictions for cocaine possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
