VERO BEACH – A nurse at the Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital in Vero Beach found Crystal Meth stuck to a patient’s buttocks, according to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office.

The patient was identified as 48-year-old Ronald Morrison of Vero Beach. Morrison was admitted to the hospital due to an infection, according to the affidavit.

“Nurses were removing Morrison’s underwear and located a clear plastic baggy containing a clear crystal substance stuck to his left buttocks,” the deputy said.

The deputy identified the substance as Crystal Meth.

Morrison told the deputy that his friends “might have put it in his underwear and not realized that it was there.”

The Crystal Meth was placed into evidence and the Sheriff’s Office will follow up with Morrison once he’s been released from the hospital.
